Youth Services
For almost 20 years, HAVEN has provided youth-specific services for children and teens affected by domestic and sexual violence.
Our keystone intervention programs are Kids Count!, Teens Count! and TRUST. We also offer prevention-oriented versions of Kids Count! and Teens Count! for youth whose histories of victimization are unknown.
HAVEN practices a holistic, client-centered approach, which allows youth to control their level of interaction with peers and promotes individual empowerment in a group setting.

Kids Count!
Kids Count! is a violence prevention and youth empowerment program designed for children ages 5 to 11 who have been or may be exposed to family violence—whether verbal, physical or emotional.
The intervention-focused groups offered at HAVEN’s offices in Turlock and Modesto are tailored to youth identified as victims of childhood domestic violence.
Youth without a known history of family violence are served through prevention-focused groups facilitated at school sites and other youth-serving, community based organizations.
Teens Count!
Teens Count! is a violence prevention and youth empowerment program designed for adolescents ages 12 to 17 who have been or may be exposed to family violence or teen dating abuse—whether verbal, physical or emotional.
The intervention-focused groups offered at HAVEN’s offices in Turlock and Modesto are tailored to adolescents identified as victims of childhood domestic violence.
Youth without a known history of family violence or teen dating abuse are served through prevention-focused groups facilitated at school sites and other youth-serving, community based organizations.
TRUST
TRUST (Teaching Respect, Understanding and Safety Together) is an empowering educational program and peer support group for youth survivors whose lives have been directly affected by sexual abuse or assault.
TRUST is specially designed for children ages 5 to 11.
Teens TRUST is appropriate for older youth ages 12 to17.
*We are not currently offering a prevention version of this group. TRUST is a survivor-only group at this time.
