On March 26th, 2013 HAVEN opened its doors in Turlock. HAVEN has been a valuable resource to the community of Stanislaus County for the last 30 years with a main office site in Modesto.
In an effort to bring services closer to home for residents living in the southern portion of the County, HAVEN entered into a collaborative relationship with the City of Turlock to secure office space. By eliminating the barrier of transportation, HAVEN hopes to assist survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking who otherwise may not seek services.
The office opens Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Walk in clients are accepted. All services are offered free of charge. HAVEN serves women, children and men who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
Services Available
Support groups
Support groups are offered for adults and for children. They are open and at no cost. Child care is not provided.
Advocates
Advocates will assist in developing personal goals towards a violence free life and finding resources and tools to achieve them.
legal services
Assistance with restraining orders and protective orders.
Clothes Closet
Providing clothing for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and sex trafficking. Clothing is provided through donations received. There is no cost to the client to receive the clothing.
